BNY Mellon To Grow Dallas Wealth Operations Twofold With New Office

BNY Mellon Wealth Management plans to double the size of its Dallas, TX, operations with a new office in the Preston Center submarket, this publication can confirm.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management plans to double the size of its Dallas, TX, operations with a new office in the Preston Center submarket, Family Wealth Report can confirm.

John Winslow, senior director of portfolio management which oversees the Dallas operations, said the firm intends to keep its employee growth “in line with its office expansion,” told Dallas Business Journal. “We opened in Dallas in 2009 and have been growing quite rapidly,” Winslow said.

The firm confirmed it plans to hire business development officers, portfolio management team members and a private banker in the next 12 months. However, Winslow declined to give an exact number of employees the company might take on. The new office will be located at 6150 Sherry Lane.

In other developments, the firm bolstered its wealth management business at the end of July, adding a trio of wealth professionals to its Chicago, IL, office.

Julie Pully, Catherine Schulze and Lee Woolley brought BNY Mellon’s total number of staff in Chicago to 19, up from 12 a year ago when the wealth manager acquired the asset management business of Chicago-based Talon Asset Management.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management oversees $171 billion in client assets.
