BNY Mellon Plans To Shut Indiana Wealth Branch As More Clients Bank Online

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has confirmed that it will close a Ligonier, IN, office on November 15, 2013, as more clients conduct banking business online.

BNY Mellon, which has around 30 wealth management offices around the US, said it has no plans to close the other remaining office in Ligonier.

In May, the New York-listed bank announced a two-year recruiting campaign for its wealth management business that will result in the addition of around 100 new positions in the US and abroad, reflecting what the firm described as its “profound commitment” to the wealth management industry.

Since the announcement, the firm has made a number of senior hires including in Texas, Seattle, California, Florida and in the Mid-Atlantic region.
