BNY Mellon plans to add 60 WM jobs in Pittsburgh

Firm sees back-office expansion bringing total staff to 600 by year end. Bank of New York Mellon plans to hire 60 new wealth-management staffers in Pittsburgh this year. The additions will include professionals in information security, accounting, performance measurement and reporting.

"This latest announcement reinforces our long-term commitment to continue expanding our presence in the Pittsburgh area, bringing to about 620 the number of new positions we have announced in just over a year."

BNY Mellon Wealth Management will have a staff of about 600 by the end of 2008. In all, BNY Mellon says the merger last of Mellon Financial and the Bank of New York has resulted in the creation of approximately 1,100 new jobs in and around the combined firm's headquarters in Pittsburgh.

BNY Mellon operates in 34 countries and has more than $1.1 trillion in assets under management and more than $23 trillion in assets under custody and administration.
