BNY Mellon Names Regional President, Positions For Southeast Growth

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has taken on Christopher Hohlstein as regional president for Georgia, based at the firm’s growing Atlanta office.
Hohlstein reports to Craig Sutherland, president of the Southeast US region. Dana Halberg, chairman for Georgia, will continue in her client service leadership role, helping Hohlstein to grow the business throughout the Southeast, the firm said.
Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Hohlstein served for six years as a director at Synovus Family Asset Management, where he managed $4 billion in assets for over 50 families. His clients were primarily UHNW families in Georgia and the greater Southeast.
According to Halberg, since BNY Mellon launched in Atlanta some 10 years ago, the firm’s assets under management have grown four-fold. Meanwhile, beyond the bounds of Georgia, the New York firm is also eyeing growth in California, having just last month appointed San Franciso-based Tracy Tuens to the newly-created role of senior sales director within its family office and advisor solutions group. Tuens is responsible for business development and client retention for the western regional family office and UHNW market.
BNY Mellon Wealth Management has nearly $178 billion in private client assets, as at end-September, 2012.
