BNY Mellon Continues Hiring In US Southeast With Senior Appointment

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has made a senior appointment to lead its private banking operations in the southeastern region of the US, coming after a number of appointments last week.

The bank said it has recruited Lisa Simington to manage its private banking business for the southeast US, covering Florida and Georgia. Ms Simington will report to Tom Roberts, managing director in the Private Banking Group headed by national director Bill Sappington.

Ms Simington has more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial services, and worked with Wachovia Bank in both Florida and Georgia for nearly 18 years. Her last position at Wachovia was as wealth management director for the state of Georgia. Additionally, Ms Simington worked with Goldman Sachs in Atlanta.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management oversees about $151 billion of private client assets.

Last week it appointed two managing directors of sales in Georgia and Florida. Garrett Alton will be based in Atlanta, reporting to Georgia chairman Dana Halberg, while Timothy Goering will be based in the firm’s West Palm Beach office, reporting to Craig Sutherland, southeast US president.
