BNY Mellon Appoints COO For International Asset Management Division

BNY Mellon, which has made a string of hires in recent months, has appointed Heneg Parthenay as chief operating officer of BNY Mellon Asset Management International, based in London.

Parthenay reports to PeterPaul Pardi, chief executive of BNY Mellon Asset Management International and global head of distribution for BNY Mellon Investment Management.

In his new role, Parthenay is responsible for assisting Pardi in the management of BNY Mellon AM International, with a focus on developing and implementing strategy for the insurance channel. This will include consulting and liaising with industry participants, conducting market research and analysis, and assessing potential opportunities. Parthenay will also support the division's business development initiatives.

Parthenay, with more than 13 years’ experience in insurance and asset management, spent the last eight years at Aviva, latterly on the executive team of their global asset management arm, Aviva Investors. Before that, Parthenay worked in the insurance division of Renault and at Axa Corporate Solutions.

Last month, BNY Mellon promoted two senior managers to run its Eastern and Western Florida offices. Joseph Fernandez was promoted to a newly-created position overseeing BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s Eastern Florida offices. Lisa Simington was promoted to a newly-created role overseeing BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s Western Florida business, ranging from Naples to Tampa.
