BNY Mellon Announces New Indonesia Country Head

BNY Mellon has confirmed its commitment to grow its business in Indonesia with the announcement of a new country head.

IGN Budi Sanjaya, the new country executive for Indonesia, will be based in Jakarta and will focus on building local client relationships, the company said in a statement. In addition to his new position, he will also be the chief representative of the firm's office in Jakarta. He reports to Jai Arya, head of client management for Asia Pacific in Singapore.

"Indonesia is in good economic shape with individual wealth steadily rising and a burgeoning middle class continuing to fuel the growth of the insurance and asset management sectors," said Chris Sturdy, the chairman of Asia Pacific for BNY Mellon.

"Indonesia has also been instrumental in promoting Islamic finance and has undertaken various legislative measures to encourage its growth."

Sanjaya has more than 20 years of experience in international banking. He joins the company from PT Bank CIMB Niaga, where he was executive vice president and head of financial institutions and securities servicing.
