BMO Global Asset Management has rolled out a new fund that looks to generate returns on investments in small-cap companies operating in emerging markets.

Managed by LGM Investments, the BMO-owned emerging markets manager, the BMO LGM Global Emerging Markets Smaller Companies Fund seeks to deliver long-term capital growth by tapping smaller firms set up in, or deriving a lot of their income from, emerging markets.

Irina Hunter is the lead portfolio manager, while Claire Franklin acts as co-portfolio manager. 

The fund may also invest a portion of its assets in frontier markets, BMO said.
