A new registered investment advisor firm, Blackhaw Wealth Management, officially opened its doors in Austin, Texas yesterday.

"After our soft launch in late 2009, we've had a considerable degree of enthusiasm for our investment management services and appreciation for our experience and credibility among prospective clients," said Ian McAbeer, president and chief investment officer.

Before founding Blackhaw, Mr McAbeer, a chartered financial analyst, was the director of investment research for a private family office investment company in Austin.
