Bendigo Wealth Makes Raft Of Appointments

Bendigo Wealth, the recently-launched wealth management division of Australian mid-size lenders Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, has made seven senior appointments.

Keith Hilsdon, previously manager for Queensland, has been promoted to regional manager. In his new role he will oversee brokers and financial planners in Queensland, New South Wales, and the Australian Capital Territory. Richard Brown, previously manager for South Australia, will now cover the Western Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, and Nothern Territory areas. They will jointly manage 15 business development managers covering around 4,000 independent brokers and advisors and about 1,000 key accounts.

Darryl Brown starts as senior manager of Bendigo Wealth Manufacturing. He is joined by Gillian Carless as senior manager of manufacturing. Julie McKay starts as senior manager of technical and research. Both will function as liaisons between distribution and manufacturing, particularly within the independent financial advisory market. Filling the position of senior business development managers for New South Wales and Western Australia are Nick Jackson and Nicola Thiel.

Bendigo Wealth was launched in April 2011, headed by John Billington, who has run the wealth division since September 2010. The unit was previously called Wealth and Third Party Banking.
