Bellevue Group will not contest the ruling made by the Swiss Federal Banking Commission last December with regard to the merger of Swissfirst and Bellevue. The FBC has not come to a final decision so the details of the ruling have not been published. However, the Bellvue Group, says the FBC concluded that "certain actions during the transaction constituted unwarranted conduct". And although the Bellevue Group does not agree with this interpretation, it believes that it is in the best interests of its clients, shareholders and employees to bring this case to an end without further delay. The group says it has now put measures in place to reverse the specific actions that the FBC's considered to be inappropriate and made a voluntary donation to Zurich Children's Hospital.
