BEA Opens Flagship In Singapore

Hong Kong's Bank of East Asia has officially opened its flagship headquarters in Singapore.

The 15-storey building is located at 60 Robinson Road, at the heart of Singapore's financial district, and is twice as large as its old Market Street office with 70,000 square feet.

"For 57 years, the Bank of East Asia Singapore Branch has supported and strengthened the business and personal ties between Singapore and Hong Kong. We are very proud that our our new building is home to our very first SupremeGold Centre in Singapore, allowing us to extend a special level of service to our local VIP clients," said Dr David KP Li at the inauguration event.

The opening comes at a time when Singapore's financial services sector continues to be vibrant, faring relatively well compared with the hard-hit financial hubs of Western Europe and the US in the wake of the credit crunch.

BEA's Singapore office holds a full banking license and offers comprehensive banking services to both retail and corporate clients. The bank has 90 branches and 50 SupremeGold Centres in Hong Kong. The new Singapore headquarters is expected to further solidify connections to the greater China region.
