Barclays Wealth Hires Investment Advisory Head From Credit Suisse

Barclays Wealth has appointed Craig Lewis from Credit Suisse as managing director and head of investment advisory within its investment and product office.
Mr Lewis will be responsible for managing the investment advisory teams across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Barclays Wealth said in a statement today. His is a newly created post, the firm told WealthBriefing.
“Craig is undoubtedly one of the top practitioners in the art and science of providing investment expertise to high net worth clients. I am very pleased to have him join Barclays Wealth,” said Mark Kibblewhite, head of the private bank for the UK and Ireland.
Mr Lewis spent 11 years in a variety of roles at Credit Suisse, latterly as managing director responsible for hedge fund advisory within asset management.
His experience also includes leading the investment solutions team at Credit Suisse Private Bank, where he managed the investment consulting team, structured products, portfolio management and hedge fund advisory.
Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr Lewis was a senior investment counsellor responsible for asset allocation and risk management for high net worth clients at Citibank Private Bank. Mr Lewis began his career at Merrill Lynch as a portfolio manager.
