Barclays Wealth Expands Jersey Team

Barclays Wealth has expanded its Jersey-based team with the appointment of Tony Pitcher as client director within its wealth advisory division on the island.
Pitcher was latterly managing director at Dominion Fiduciary Services. He has also worked as a managing director at Royal Bank of Canada Trust Company, where he focused on servicing and developing ultra high net worth clients. Other prior roles include positions in tax and audit teams at Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In his new role Pitcher will report to the head of the wealth advisory business in Jersey, Martin Pollock. He will be tasked with responsibility for key client relationships as well as growing and developing the wealth advisory unit’s client base in Jersey.
In other recent news Barclays Wealth has been stepping up recruitment for its UK regional teams. In February the firm added two vice presidents to its private banking unit in Manchester, a vice president at the firm’s Bristol office and a senior private client partner in Birmingham.
Barclays Wealth has total client assets of £164 billion ($266 billion), as at 31 December 2010.
