Barclays Wealth's SEA Head In Singapore Leaves

Benedikt Maissen, head of Southeast Asia at Barclays Wealth in Singapore, has left the firm, this publication understands.

He has possibly switched to work at a European firm, although details could not be confirmed at the time of publication.

By contrast, the UK firm recently appointed three senior bankers in Singapore, who join the firm from UBS. One of the recruits is Vikram Malhotra, who joins as managing director, head of South Asia. In this role, he will be responsible for managing a team of Hong Kong and Singapore-based bankers providing wealth management and advisory solutions to the South Asian community in Asia Pacific, Barclays Wealth said in a statement.
