Barclays Private Clients International Adds To Board

Barclays Wealth has added Caroline Cornish to the board of directors of Barclays Private Clients International in the Isle of Man, following her having taken up the role of head of corporate affairs at the start of March.

Cornish, who was latterly county head for HSBC Securities Services on the Isle of Man, joins Greg Ellison, Ian Hodgkinson, Paul Savery, Simon Scott, Alex Freeman, Karl Moore and Non-Executives Brian Dix, Peter Horsthuis and Chairman Larry Keenan on BPCI’s executive board.

“Caroline will be responsible for enhancing the high standards of corporate governance within the company and supporting me directly in growing the business and our contribution to the island,” Greg Ellison, managing director, said in a statement.

In other developments at Barclays Wealth, last month the firm boosted its Isle of Man-based team with the hire of Geoff Gelling as a senior relationship manager.

Gelling is charged with spearheading the firm’s client relationship service, including its Premier offering. His former roles include those of managing director at Isle of Man bank and director of retail banking at RBS International.

The firm also hired Gill Baker as human resources business partner, a newly-created position also based on the island. Baker joined from Microgaming Software Systems, and has also previously worked at Lloyds TSB and RBSI.
