Barclays Global Investors Upgrades Asia Team

Barclays Global Investors Asia ex-Japan has hired Fred Horsey as chief operating officer, based in Hong Kong. Mr Horsey was previously with JPMorgan, most recently as head of Asia product development. Veronica Lam has joined the division's business development and client service team for North Asian clients. Ms Lam previously worked at Fidelity Investments Management as a senior manager in the institutional business in Hong Kong. Nick Good has been appointed head of iShares, Asia-Pacific division. He will be responsible for the exchange-traded funds business across Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. Mr Good previously served as head of strategy and planning for both iShares and BGI's institutional index businesses globally. BGI had more than $1.8 trillion of assets under management at the end of 2006.
