Barclays Adds Fund Manager To Manchester Wealth Office
Barclays Wealth and Investment Management has appointed Scott Farnetti as a fund manager for its Manchester office.
He joins from Brewin Dolphin in Newcastle, where he was responsible for the management of charity and pension funds as well as private client assets.
“Scott comes highly recommended, having had his potential recognised early on in his career. At Barclays we engage the very best people and Scott will be an important member of our growing team here in Manchester," said Alan Edwards, director and regional centre head for Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in Manchester.
In other recent news, last week Barclays Wealth and Investment Management appointed Finlay MacDonald as a vice president within its charities and segregated funds team for Scotland, based in Glasgow.
In April, the wealth and investment arm of Barclays said it made an adjusted pre-tax profit of £60 million ($91.6 million) in the first three months of 2013, a 20 per cent rise from a year ago.
However, the first-quarter profit fell from £105 million in the previous three months to the end of December 2012.
