Barclays' Wealth Division Brings Music To Asia's Ears

Barclay's newly-rebranded wealth and investment management division is bringing music to Asia’s ears, as headline orchestra sponsor of the inaugural Lorin Maazel Philharmonia Orchestra concert in China and Hong Kong.

Lorin Maazel is a world famous conductor while the Philharmonia Orchestra is considered the UK’s foremost classical music group.

This is the first time Maazel, together with the Philharmonia Orchestra, is performing in Asia. The concert is being staged in Hong Kong (31 March 2012), Guangzhou (1 April 2012), Shanghai (3 April 2012) and Beijing (5 April 2012).

The concert is supported by the Hong Kong Government's Leisure & Cultural Services Department and, as a part of Musicus Society's cross-cultural collaboration effort, is in partnership with the British Consulate-General and the British Council under its UK NOW festival.

In Asia, Barclays is also the principal sponsor of the highly anticipated dance Festival in Singapore, since 2008.
