Bank Syz Adds To Front-Office Teams

In addition to the hires, the Swiss lender said it is presenting its offerings via a "Welcome to Syzerland" campaign.
Bank Syz, the Swiss
firm, has hired a number of senior figures as it bolsters
front-office operations.
Philippe Turrian, former head of client solutions and marketing
and communications, is joining Nicolas Syz as co-head of
wealth management. They will run the front-office
teams.
Konstadinos Hatzinikolis will be joining Bank Syz as the new
head of Europe International, taking over the leadership of the
Europe and Middle East teams. He will be joining from HSBC
Private Bank (Suisse) where he spent the last 20 years in various
senior management roles.
The bank has also appointed Jürg Schmid as head of sales
management and Ron Jacobs as head of wealth planning. Schmid was
head of the key clients’ team for Switzerland and EMEA at Julius
Baer, while Jacobs was the international private bank head of
wealth planning for EMEA at Deutsche Bank.
Pablo Astengo, will take on a new role as head of pension
solutions and financial planning.

The firm has also launched a “Welcome to Syzerland” campaign,
stressing the group’s proposition and combination of qualities
such as family ownership/alignment of interests; a blend of
stability and boutique agility, and “pioneering investment
opportunities,” according to a statement.
