Bank subsidiary changes name, hires biz developer

Tamalpais Bank's Epic Wealth Management is now Tamalpais Wealth Advisors. San Rafael, Calif.-based Tamalpais Bancorp has re-named its wealth-management subsidiary, formerly Epic Wealth Management, as Tamalpais Wealth Advisors (TWA). TWA's COO William Osher says the new name enhances the cognitive link between the subsidiary and its parent company, and between TWA and the Marin County, Calif., community near Mount Tamalpais State Park it serves.

TWA has also named former Salient Wealth Management executive Jonathan Leidy as its first director of business development.

Goals and objectives

"The addition of Jonathan further strengthens our veteran team of wealth-management professionals," says Osher, who is TWA's chief economist and director of fixed income as well as its COO.

Leidy was head of business development at San Rafael-based Salient. Before that he was with San Francisco-based Schwab.

At TWA, Leidy's primary duties include understanding the goals and objectives of prospective clients and, when they opt to become clients, shepherding their transition to TWA's fee-based service platform.

As a member of TWA's senior management team, Leidy will work closely with Osher, director of equity investments Seth Scholar and trader and portfolio administrator David Hudson.

Tamalpais Wealth Advisors has $283 million in assets under management.
