Bank of China HK Signs MoU With Taiwan Asset Manager

Bank of China Hong Kong has partnered with a Taiwanese asset management firm to establish an investment advisory and business development operation in the Taiwan region.
The deal signed between BOCHK Asset Management and Fubon Asset Management provides Taiwanese investors with a range of investment products and meet their growing appetite for renminbi-based wealth management servces. BOCHK AM will act as the overseas investment advisor for Fubon, while Fubon will be the sole fund distributor for products offered by the Hong Kong firm in Taiwan.
Fubon AM has established business cooperation deals with China over the past year. It is one of the first financial institutions that acquired the qualified foreign institutional investor quotas from the Mainland to issue the first A-share ETF on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2011. It was also the first to partner with China's Founder Securities in the same year to create Founder Fubon Fund Management Company.
