Bank Leumi USA, the US subsidiary of the Israeli bank, which predominately serves private banking clients, saw net profit rise to $33.2 million in 2004, a 7.4 per cent rise on the 2003 result. Despite the rise for the year, net profit fell in the fourth quarter of last year to $7.5 million, compared with $7.6 million for the corresponding quarter a year before. Bank Leumi USA has three branches in New York, four in California, three in Florida, one in Chicago, and one in the Cayman Islands. The bank handles private banking for US and non-US citizens, commercial banking for medium-sized and larger companies, and international banking.
