Bank J Safra Sarasin Creates New Role Of Swiss Asset Management Chief

Bank J Safra Sarasin has created the new role of head of asset management for Switzerland, naming industry figure Serge Ledermann to the role, which he takes up from 1 March this year.

Bank J Safra Sarasin has created the new role of head of asset management for Switzerland, naming industry figure Serge Ledermann to the role, which he takes up from 1 March this year.

Ledermann has worked in asset management and in Swiss institutional business for more than 30 years. He previously worked at Retraites Populaires, where he was deputy chief executive and member of the management committee in charge of investments.

He has also worked at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch, where he was a partner, and was a founder partner for asset management for Union Bancaire Privée. His career started with Compagnie de Banque et Investissements, and Union Bank of Switzerland, as it was then called.
