AXA Investment Managers To Relocate HK Rep To Beijing

AXA Investment Managers is set to relocate its China chief from Hong Kong to Beijing, as the firm seeks to expand in China and establish a representative office in the city, a spokesperson confirmed.

Ying Du will help the firm target institutional assets from Beijing. She is expected to move with her family next month. Du had been working in institutional client services for AXA IM before becoming designated China chief rep about a year ago to lead the license application process.

The moves comes after AXA IM received its rep office license from the Chinese government last week, said the report.

AXA has around 200 sales and marketing staff globally, around a tenth of whom are based in Asia. It has $665 billion in global assets under management.
