AXA IM Seeks Long-Term Growth In Latin America With New Fund

AXA Investment Managers has unveiled a new fund designed to capture long-term growth opportunities in Latin America.

AXA WF Framlington LatAm is a high-conviction equity fund managed by Julian Thompson, global head of emerging markets at AXA Framlington.

The fund will focus on identifying undervalued and mispriced growth opportunities among high-quality companies in Latin America. The investment process blends fundamental research into stocks and meetings with company management, AXA said.

“Latin America offers equity investors an attractive combination of companies generating high returns on invested capital within a sound operating environment in terms of regulation, corporate governance and economic management,” Thompson said. “The region’s capital markets are deepening, offering investors a wider range of opportunities to participate in the growth of domestic consumption and infrastructure development.”

AXA Framlington is AXA Investment Managers’ equity platform, which has assets under management amounting to €24.6 billion ($38.2 billion) at the end March.
