AXA IM Names Head Of UK Private Client Group

This publication brings latest news of moves and appointments in global wealth management.

AXA Investment Managers has appointed John Stainsby, formerly of JP Morgan Asset Management, as head of its UK private client group. He will lead UK distribution efforts among wholesale and institutional clients.

At JP Morgan Asset Management, Stainsby worked for 16 years, most recently as its head of UK institutional business. Prior to this, he was head of global equity client portfolio management. Previously, he launched the UK office and led the sales and marketing efforts for emerging market fund manager Lloyd George Management. Stainsby also spent 12 years as an analyst and fund manager at Schroders managing equity portfolios.

In his new role, Stainsby will report to Philippe d’Orgeval, head of UK, and Christophe Coquema, global head of client group at AXA IM, with d’Orgeval taking up the role in November.

Tim Gardener, who took on the head of UK client group on a temporary basis, will work with Stainsby to ensure a smooth transition. He will continue to work with AXA IM’s institutional clients and prospects globally.
