Australian Financial Services Finalises CEO Appointment

Australian Financial Services, the Australian financial planning and dealer group, has named a chief executive.

Alan Logan joins the company as CEO from Bombora Advice, a private consultancy firm where he served as director. Prior to that, he was general manager for ANZ Advice and Distribution.

Logan replaces Peter Daly, who left the company in June 2012. Daly had filed a lawsuit against Australian Financial Services, where he was a major shareholder, for unfair dismissal. Since then, Phil Burke, group director, had functioned as acting CEO.

AFS currently has around A$6 billion in funds under management and 200 authorised representatives in Australia.
