ClearView Wealth has named a new head of operations and technology.

Tony Thomas takes on the newly created role and will be accountable for operations and information technology across the ClearView business, the firm said in a statement released on Friday.

ClearView’s managing director, Simon Swanson, said that Tony has a proven track record of quality service delivery and the leadership capabilities needed to assist in the significant growth opportunities facing ClearView.

“His experience and knowledge auger well to capture those opportunities and assist in driving long term sustainable value for ClearView’s shareholders,” the firm said.

Before joining ClearView, Thomas was chief financial officer of Calliden Group Limited. He has also held senior executive positions at TAL, PrefSure, ING and Lumley.

“Tony’s experience at a senior management level in information technology, operations, financial management and project management will put ClearView in a good position to manage its continuing growth for the benefit of customers, partners and shareholders,” the firm continued.

 Swanson added:  “With such breadth and depth of experience in the financial services industry in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, we are very excited to welcome Tony to the ClearView team.”

Earlier this month ClearView Wealth also boosted its direct, advice and wealth teams with a series of senior management appointments in a bid to build its life insurance, wealth management and financial planning businesses.
