Aussie Private Wealth Firm Announces Major Hires

Fitzpatricks Private Wealth, the Australian advisory and wealth management firm, has bolstered its team with two major hires.
Effective immediately, John McMurdo takes the role of group managing director to oversee the firm's entire financial planning and wealth management business in Australia. Fitzpatricks Private Wealth specialises in the affairs of high net worth clients and McMurdo's previous role as chief executive of Centric Wealth and managing director of Hillross Financial Services complements his new post.
Also newly appointed is Chris Cuffe as non-executive director. Cuffe used to be part of the wealth management units of Colonial First State and Challenger Financial Services Group and currently chairs the UniSuper board and the non-profit organisation Australian Philanthropic Services.
Fitzpatricks Private Wealth is planning to expand its services beyond Sydney and Brisbane by taking advantage of the vast networks of its two newest hires. The firm presently has around $2 billion in funds under advice and 30 advisors.
