Asset Manager On Cusp Of Merger Expands Global High Yield Unit

The new hire will form part of a 20-strong team.
Aberdeen
Asset Management has appointed Paul Mehta as global head of
loans in a bid to bolster its loans investment capability, it
said earlier this week.
He will report to Steve Logan, global head of high yield, and
form part of the firm’s 20-strong global high yield group.
Previously, Mehta worked as a senior trader in BNP Paribas’ loan
and distressed debt team. Prior to that, he was part of the
Parisian lender’s leverage loan, distressed and high yield sales
team, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“Paul’s appointment is part of our strategy to further strengthen
our loans capability, where we have been investing for a number
years,” said Logan.
