Asset Control Streamlines Risk Data Management With New Launch

The provider of financial data management solutions has launched AC Risk Data Manager to offer a comprehensive view of a financial institution’s risk data capabilities
Asset Control, a London-based provider of financial data management solutions, has launched a tool to help risk managers effectively handle risk data through a single set of controls.
AC Risk Data Manager offers a central source of risk data, as opposed to risk managers' current norm of collecting risk factor data from multiple product silos, usually internal trading systems, the firm said.
The new user interface seeks to streamline this typically labour-intensive norm, using common underlying master data to make the process more synchronised and transparent. It aims therefore to save risk management teams time when integrating new risk factors, and ultimately, help them better deal with different risk data structures, such as yield curves, volatility surfaces and stress test scenarios.
“To date, the complexity of risk data has meant that each specific piece of data has sat separately in spreadsheets or in individual trading or risk platforms,” said Asset Control's chief executive, Richard Petti.
“By centralising and providing enhanced visualisation of all an organisation’s risk data, we believe AC Risk Data Manager truly brings the next level of control and governance to this paramount facet of financial data management.”
Earlier this year, the firm launched Data Service Manager to help data and risk managers fulfil regulatory requirements through real-time visualisation of complex data supply chains.
