UK-listed Arbuthnot Banking Group, parent of the private bank Arbuthnot Latham, has appointed Ruth Lea as economic advisor. She has been a non-executive director of the group since 2005 and will continue in this role. Ms Lea is also currently director of Global Vision and a governor of the London School of Economics. She was director of the Centre for Policy Studies between 2004 and 2007 and head of the Policy Unit at the Institute of Directors between 1995 and 2003. She has also worked for ITN, Mitsubishi Bank and Lehman Brothers.
