ANZ Strengthens SMSF Offering With New Digital Platform

Australia and New Zealand Bank has launched a new digital solution that will give its self-managed superannuation fund clients a more integrated platform to manage their wealth.

The "ANZ Self Managed Super," developed with specialist SMSF provider Super IQ, will be available from early December 2013. Through the service, customers will gain 24/7 access to all SMSF assets and information in one online dashboard to allow real-time decision making. It will also be integrated with a range of products and solutions across ANZ's wealth, retail and commercial banking offerings.

"The SMSF market is the largest superannuation segment in Australia with assets of around A$500 million ($474.8 million). Digital and mobile technology is increasingly driving how we operate and how we serve our customers," said Joyce Phillips, ANZ chief executive, global wealth, in a statement.

As part of its deal with Super IQ, ANZ agreed to sell its wholly-owned SMSF accounting, tax and compliance business, Super Concepts, to Super IQ. This sale is not material to ANZ and will be completed by 31 October 2013. Terms were not disclosed.
