Another High-Ranking Former Merrill Man Working With UBS In Americas

Another ex-Merrill Lynch executive is working at UBS in the Swiss bank’s Americas division to help drive investment policy.

Richard Bernstein, a former chief investment strategist at Merrill Lynch, is teaming up with UBS Wealth Management Americas. As reported earlier this year, Bernstein left Merrill at the end of March this year. David Rosenberg, chief North American economist, also left Merrill at about that time.

A number of former Merrill Lynch executives have gone to UBS, most notably Robert McCann, the new head of UBS Wealth Management Americas.

Bernstein's firm, Richard Bernstein Advisors, will help determine how much risk clients should take on and what their asset allocation strategy should be.

Mike Ryan, head of Wealth Management Research-Americas, will oversee this exclusive partnership, UBS said in a statement.
