Amundi Brings On Société Générale Finance Chief

Amundi has welcomed the ex-CFO of Société Générale's global banking and investor solutions division.

European asset manager Amundi has appointed Société Générale's Vincent Mortier as deputy chief investment officer.

Mortier joins from his position as chief financial officer at Société Générale's global banking and investor solutions division, where he sits on the executive committee. He previously served as CFO and co-head of equity finance at Société Générale corporate and investment banking.

Mortier takes on the role following Alain Pitous' exit from Amundi last year. Based in Paris, he will join Amundi's executive committee.

Amundi, a subsidiary jointly created in 2010 by Crédit Agricole and Société Générale to regroup their asset management activities, manages over €950 billion ($1.07 trillion) in assets worldwide.

The firm recently hired Laurent Ducoin as head of European equities and Navik Patel as head of divisional strategies within its alternative investments business.
