AMP Extends Tech Contract With CSC Australia

AMP, the wealth management firm based in Australia and New Zealand, has extended its technology contract with CSC Australia in a deal that is worth some A$220 million.
CSC, which specialises in financial services platforms, signed a comprehensive services contract starting from the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2012 to 2016. Currently, the firm provides AMP with outsourced managed infrastructure services for mainframe, midrange, network, desktop, service desk and cloud email service, including information and system security. The two firms have an existing 6-year contract worth A$150 million, which continues on a previous engagement formed in 1993.
With the extended contract, CSC will continue to deliver its services across all business units, including the technology integration of AMP and AXA Asia-Pacific Holdings which merged in March 2011.
AMP is one of the largest wealth firms in Australia and New Zealand and operates through two core business units: AMP Financial Services and AMP Capital Investors.
