Ameriprise Financial has appointed Lisa Spadoni as a financial advisor within the private wealth advisory practice of Goldstein & Associates.

Spadoni was latterly a financial advisor with Edward Jones, having previously worked for many years in the printing industry.

Ameriprise Financial has a network of some 10,000 financial advisors. The firm logged an 8 per cent year-on-year increase in pre-tax operating earnings at its advice and wealth management business at the end of September 2012, finishing the third quarter at $119 million - also up from $111 million recorded in Q2.

The firm said the results reflected revenue growth, continued expense management and ongoing investments in the business, including a new brokerage platform.
