American Century Investments Launches New UCITS Fund Range

Missouri-headquartered asset management firm American Century Investments is launching a range of four UCITs III structured-funds aimed at institutions and distributors across Europe and the Middle East.

The range includes a global growth fund, a concentrated global growth fund, a US growth fund and a concentrated US growth fund.

The global growth fund invests in large companies globally, while the concentrated version invests in equity securities of approximately 30 to 50 companies globally. Both funds seek to outperform the MSCI world index.

The US versions are limited to investing in US companies, with the concentrated version investing in equity securities of approximately 45 to 75 large companies. Both seek to outperform the Russell 1000 growth index.

The firm’s growth investment philosophy is based on the belief that the acceleration in growth of a company’s earnings and revenues is more highly correlated with stock price performance than the level of growth.

Up until the launch of its London office in August last year, American Century had been a purely domestic player. This latest launch facilitates the marketing and sale of the firm’s growth strategies abroad.

Founded in 1958, American Century Investments has around $82.2 billion in assets under management.
