Alexandra & James Opts For Dynasty Platform

Alexandra & James, the New York-based wealth management firm, has selected Dynasty Financial Partners’ open-architecture wealth management services and technology platform.

Dynasty's platform integrates research from the firm’s affiliate, Callan Associates, with tools and technology from the wealth management software and services provider Envestnet, the firm said in a statement.

The “customized integrated package” combines technology, managed investments, institutional research, trust and insurance services and credit facilities. Access to the platform – on which Alexandra & James went live on January 1 - will enable the company to offer a “level of service that simply could not be achieved a few years ago,” said Alexandra Lebenthal, chief executive.

“We have become known in the industry as a destination for corner-office breakaway advisors who want to be free of the conflicts and confinements of their wirehouse relationships and operate their own businesses,” said Shirl Penney, president and chief executive of Dynasty.

Alexandra & James Wealth Management was formed in 2006 to serve families with between $5 million - $40 million in assets, and now has almost $1 billion in assets.
