Aegon Names New Chief Financial Officer For The UK

Aegon, the Edinburgh-headquartered asset manager, has recruited a new chief financial officer for its UK business from Swiss Re.
Clare Bousfield had worked for the Swiss insurance group since 2001, holding a number of positions, most recently being based in Zurich as head of group audit. Before assuming this group role she had been chief financial officer for the UK Life & Health business and for the UK, Ireland and Africa region.
Blousfield will assume her new role at Aegon in September, succeeding Bill Robertson, who is leaving the firm after 10 years.
“Clare’s broad international experience in finance and the insurance sector will be invaluable as we adapt to the changing landscape for our business,” Jan Nooitgedagt, Aegon’s group CFO said.
Bousfield’s appointment follows those of Adrian Grace as chief operating officer and Charles Garthwaite as chief risk officer for Aegon UK.
