Advent Software, the US-based developer of investment management software, has appointed Asiff Hirji to its board of directors.

Hirji has over 20 years of experience in operations and technology in the investment management industry. He has been a partner at the private investment firm TPG Capital since 2007, prior to which he was president of TD Ameritrade Holding Company. He has also held senior positions at Bain & Company and the private equity specialist Meralix. 

Advent Software has operations in 60 countries. In June this year, the company partnered with SunGard to upgrade its FIX messaging capabilities and tax software. Shortly before that, it took over the operations of the Black Diamond Group's performance reporting arm, which was then valued at around $73 million.
