Advent, Charles Schwab Enter Custody Information Integration Agreement

Advent Software and Schwab Intelligent Technologies have entered an agreement to integrate two of the former’s portfolio management platforms into Schwab OpenView Gateway, in a move intended to extend the availability of custody information from Charles Schwab & Co.

The two platforms concerned are Black Diamond and Advent Portfolio Exchange, and it is hoped that advisors, portfolio managers and operations personnel will be able to make more informed decisions and enhance client service off the back of being able to access current custodial data throughout the day.

"Deeper integration of custody information and workflows across the Advent, Black Diamond and Schwab platforms will help our clients realize significant productivity gains while also giving them better tools to serve their clients,” said Dave Welling, vice president at Advent Software and general manager of Black Diamond.

The relationship between Schwab and Advent stretches back 20 years, during which time they have served some 1,400 shared clients.
