ABN Expands Van Gogh Wealth Brand in Hong Kong

ABN Amro opened its fifth Van Gogh Preferred Banking Centre in Hong Kong, situated in the Convention Plaza Shopping Arcade to serve domestic, international and business clients visiting Hong Kong's Convention Centre. The Dutch bank launched its VGPB wealth management brand in 2002, primarily to serve high net worth customers. VGPB has subsequently seen an eight-fold increase in both its assets under administration and customer numbers in Hong Kong. Jim Brown, head of Consumer Clients in Asia, said: "With the gaining affluence and increasing demand for more personalised financial services in Hong Kong, we're seeing tremendous growth in our wealth management business. The opening of our fifth VGPB centre reflects ABN Amro's strategy to expand customer contact points and further grow our SME and offshore client base." Globally, Van Gogh Preferred Banking is offered across 11 countries including Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Brazil, UAE and China.
