ABN AMRO Private Banking, Business School Start Global Certification Programme

ABN AMRO Private Banking has partnered with international business school INSEAD to create a new global certification programme for private bankers with the goal of accrediting them by the end of 2013.

The ABN AMRO INSEAD Private Banking Certification Programme will require the bank's private bankers to attend modules at the schools campus together with their own supplemental self study over 12 months. Core areas will include financial service delivery, culture, processes, and service to clients. The launch was held in Singapore.

"What differentiates a professional private banker from the rest of the pack is knowledge, skills and behaviours and the resulting service quality. In order to solidify trust and deepen our client relationships, we should establish the highest standards," Peter Schut, global head of human resources, said in a release.

ABN AMRO Private Banking is the wealth management division of ABN AMRO Bank, one of the largest banks in the Netherlands, will 6.8 million clients, 28,000 employees, and over 500 branches and offices worldwide. As of 30 September 2010, the company records $200 billion in assets under management.
