Delaware-based Wilmington Trust has expanded its office in Baltimore and added several senior professionals to serve high net worth clients in the greater Baltimore region. The expansion reflects Wilmington Trust’s corporate strategy to build its wealth advisory and US regional banking businesses in growing markets. Wealth advisory services are offered across the US. “The Baltimore market has always been very important to us,” said Robert Harra, president and chief operating officer of Wilmington Trust. “Our expansion underscores our commitment to serving our clients here and our belief in the excellent growth potential of Wilmington Trust in the region.” With its expansion in Baltimore, Wilmington Trust has added to its staff, including Stephen Luongo, David Berger and Bob Thon. They join Thomas Finney, managing director of wealth advisory services, senior private client advisors Joanne Abell and Bill Martin, investment advisor Joshua Stump and senior financial planner Thomas Kelley. With a current staff of 17 in Maryland, Wilmington Trust plans to double the number of its wealth advisors serving the region in the coming months.
