Redington
Independent investment consultant
Redington has
promoted Oliver Wayne to head of manager research, effective 1
September. He takes over from Nick Samuels, who left Redington
earlier this year.
Wayne joined Redington’s Manager Research team as a vice president in 2016 from Willis Towers Watson where he led the firm’s research on UK equity managers and sat on its global equity manager research team. In July 2022, he was promoted to director having played an instrumental role in developing Redington’s public equity research offering, the firm said in a statement.
In his new role, Wayne will ensure that Redington’s tried-and-tested in-house processes and research technology, Ada Fintech, continue to play a central role in helping clients find the right manager for the given mandate, as well as interrogating their environmental, social and corporate governance skills and processes.
“Oli has had a significant impact on the business in the past seven years and we are excited to have him lead the team and continue driving forward the solutions and services we offer our clients,” Redington CEO, Sylvia Pozezanac, said.
Oliver’s appointment follows a host of senior promotions within the firm’s LGPS, People, Global Assets and Sustainable Investment teams, announced in July 2023.
Redington acts as an advisor to over ÂŁ500 billion ($634.2 billion) of client assets encompassing wealth, pensions, charities and endowments. The Manager Research team is responsible for supporting clients in selecting and monitoring best-in-class managers across the spectrum of global equities and credit, as well as hedge funds, private equity and impact investing.
