Boodle Hatfield
Private wealth law firm Boodle Hatfield has
strengthened its Private Client and Tax department with the
appointment of specialist corporate tax partner, Andrew Loan.
Loan (pictured) is joining the London-based firm from Fieldfisher, where he was a tax partner advising on a variety of corporate tax and VAT matters, particularly taxation in the context of acquisitions and disposals of public and private companies. He also advised on the taxation of corporate groups, finance, real estate, investment funds, and tax investigations and disputes. He has over 20 years' experience and is both a solicitor and a chartered tax advisor. Previously a tax partner at Macfarlanes, Loan served as an officer of the taxes committee of the International Bar Association for several years, the firm said in a statement.
“Andrew has a strong track record and is known across the profession for his specialist corporate tax and real estate structuring advice. Our clients often have complex international corporate structures, so Andrew's strength in corporate taxation will be a great complement to our leading Private Client and Tax practice," Hayden Bailey, head of Private Client and Tax, said.
“Andrew is a fantastic practitioner and we are delighted to welcome him to Boodle Hatfield. His arrival marks the firm's third lateral hire this year and our fourth addition to the partnership following this year's partner promotion. This growth reflects our continued commitment to build and invest in our key service lines. Our focus remains on meeting the ever-changing needs of our dynamic client base and providing the very best quality legal advice,” Andrea Zavos, senior partner added.
Boodle Hatfield has 38-partners and has been in business for 300 years. Its clients, which come from a wide range of sectors, both in the UK and internationally, include owner-managed businesses and property companies as well as entrepreneurial enterprises and ultra-high net worth families.
