Robeco
Robeco has
appointed Ralf Oberbannscheidt as global head of Thematic
Investing, effective 1 May 2023.
Based in Zurich, Oberbannscheidt (pictured) will be responsible for overseeing the teams and furthering the development of the active thematic investing offering. He will report to Mark van der Kroft, CIO Fundamental and Quant Equity. Pending regulatory approval, Oberbannscheidt will also join the executive committee of Robeco, the firm said in a statement late last week.
Oberbannscheidt was formerly a founding partner and portfolio manager at Global Thematic Partners, New York, where he was responsible for analyst and portfolio management. From 1999 to 2010, he was senior portfolio manager at Deutsche Asset Management, based in Frankfurt and later for DB Advisors in New York.
Introducing Oberbannscheidt, van der Kroft said: “We’re pleased to welcome Ralf to our organisation. He brings a wealth of relevant managerial and portfolio management knowledge that will be of great benefit to Robeco and our clients in the thematic investing offering. As at 30 June 2022, Robeco had €178 billion ($193.5) in assets under management, of which €E171 billion is committed to ESG integration. Robeco is a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation Europe N.V.
Appleby
Offshore law firm Appleby has announced 12
senior promotions across its Bermuda, British Virgin Islands,
Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey and Mauritius
offices.
The promotions, effective from 1 April 2023, include members from across the group’s Corporate, Dispute Resolution and Private Client & Trusts teams.
