The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes among wealth management and related organisations in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and select international locations.

Rathbones
Rathbones has added three senior hires to its Cambridge office.

Pam Beith, who more than 35 years of experience working in the wealth management industry, joined Rathbones last month as an investment director in the Cambridge office, the firm said in a statement. Her remit includes helping to build on existing and new relationships with financial advisors and other professionals in the area.

Isobel Gingell has also joined as an investment director in the Cambridge office. Prior to joining she was an investment director for 11 years firstly based in the Channel Islands and then in East Anglia.

Finally, Sam Garrad has come on board as an assistant investment manager also in the Cambridge office. He started his career in financial planning motivated by an interest in investment management.

Rathbones, which provides investment management services for individuals, charities and professional advisors, manages £108.9 billion ($143 billion) of assets. It has 23 UK locations and is also present in the Channel Islands.

Maples and Calder
Maples and Calder, the Maples Group's law firm, has appointed senior lawyer Nick Holland. He will join as the head of the law firm's trusts and private client team in London, before moving to the Cayman Islands later in the year.

Holland, who has a practice with clients in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas, has extensive experience of advising institutional trustees, private clients and other market advisers on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.

Canaccord Genuity WM
UK independent wealth manager Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management in the UK and Crown Dependencies (Canaccord) has appointed investment manager, Peter Douglas, based in its Newcastle office.

Douglas (pictured), an accomplished chartered wealth manager, previously worked at Brewin Dolphin for 11 years. During his time in financial services, he has built a reputation for delivering tailored financial strategies that align with the unique goals of his clients, ensuring their long-term financial security, the firm said in a statement.

Before his career in wealth management, Douglas served as a captain in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, part of the British Army, from January 2004 to December 2011. During his service, he gained extensive experience in national security, leadership, and management across various "challenging and culturally complex" environments.

“Peter’s deep experience and passion for best-in-class client service makes him a valuable addition to our Newcastle team,” Duncan Stratford, UK managing director, Canaccord, said. “Peter is well-known and respected in the industry, and his appointment is a further demonstration of our commitment to providing excellent service to our clients in the localities in which they live and work.”

Additionally, Adam Glen-Bott has also joined Tabula’s investment team, bringing expertise in quantitative portfolio management and ETF indexing, with a focus on equities.

Petheram has over 20 years of experience in fixed income and multi-asset investment.
